All meals, non-alcoholic refreshments, local wines, beers and spirits are included during a lodge stay. Other beverages can be arranged on request and are charged separately.
Hunting season
NTONI’s main safari hunting season runs from March through October, with the cool, dry winter months of June through August offering particularly favourable conditions. Hunts may also be arranged throughout the year, subject to availability, applicable species regulations and permit requirements.
Hunting methods
NTONI offers guided rifle and bow hunting, primarily using spot-and-stalk methods. Blind hunting can be arranged for bow hunters where appropriate. Management hunts are also available as part of the reserve’s wildlife-management programme.
Species availability varies according to population condition, conservation objectives, quotas, permits and the time of year. The final selection is confirmed when each safari is planned.
Airport transfers
Pre-arranged transfers are available from Chief Dawid Stuurman International Airport in Gqeberha—still commonly known as Port Elizabeth Airport (PLZ)—and from King Phalo Airport in East London. Airport transfers are quoted and charged separately.
Booking
NTONI safaris are planned and quoted individually; immediate online booking is not available. Enquiries can be made by email at info@ntoni.co.za or through WhatsApp at +27 79 367 0591. This number is for WhatsApp messages and WhatsApp calls only.
Founding vision
NTONI was founded in 2025 through the shared vision of six friends from the Netherlands, united by a commitment to conservation, responsible wildlife management and authentic Karoo hospitality.
Conservation and veld restoration
NTONI’s conservation programme includes monitoring and managing soil erosion, constructing contour walls and trenches to slow water runoff, and using buffalo dung patches to encourage soil microbes and rebuild topsoil. The reserve also grows indigenous grasses and spekboom (Portulacaria afra) to support revegetation and long-term veld recovery.
San rock art
NTONI protects San rock art sites that preserve evidence of the region’s long human history. Guided visits are offered with respect for the cultural and archaeological significance of the paintings.
Non-hunting guests and activities
NTONI welcomes hunters, non-hunting companions, couples and families, including families with children. Activities may include guided game drives, wildlife viewing, hikes to San rock art sites, bush meals, sundowners and supervised clay target shooting. Experiences are arranged according to guest interests, weather and operational conditions.
